Scope and content

Postcards, brochures, stereographs, photographs, pamphlets and ephemera pertain mostly to tourist attractions and cultural sites in Florida. Other topics include; agriculture, hotels, parks, agriculture, beaches and waterfronts. Includes a box of postcards by Miami commercial photographer R. E. Simpson, and one of real postcards of Miami and Miami Beach by various photographers.

System of arrangement

The collection is organized by type into three series, with the postcard further arranged by type or size into subseries . The series and subseries are as follows:

Series 1, Postcards.

    Subseries 1, Postcards (to 3.5 in. x 5.5 in.)

    Subseries 2. Postcards (4 in. x 6 in.)

    Subseries 3. Postcards (fold-outs)

    Subseries 4. Minature postcards (3 in. x 4 in.)
