Mostly pamphlets, photographic prints, correspondence, newsletters and clippings pertaining to the Miami Power Squadron.

Includes a personal account of the 1926 hurricane written by Cyril Berning and an oversized newspaper page describing the aftermath of the hurricane, including the mounting death toll (cataloged separately).

Personal papers and scrapbooks include clippings and memorabilia related to numerous civic and World War II home front projects such as the American Red Cross Camp and Hospital Service, the American Legion, Veterans Hospital and  the Boy Scouts. Except for some brochures and photographs of the San Carlos, there are no documents pertaining to his business enterprises.

Materials pertain to the Merrill family, their shipbuilding businesses in Jacksonville and Miami, and  the early development of Miami Beach.

The collection holds two photograph albums with images of Merrill family activiites and the Merrill-Stevens shipbuilding business in Jacksonville. A group of loose photographs mostly show views of the development of infrastructure and construction on Miami Beach. Several of the Miami Beach images are captioned.

Other materials include a bound set of Quarter - Deck (Nov. 1942-Aug. 1945), which was publilshed for the employees of the St. Johns River Shipbuilding Company, and a brochure for Merrill-Stevens Dry Dock Company in Miami.

Collection consists of family correspondence, including World War II censored mail, memorabilia and papers pertaining to the McCready's social activities, schools and employment. Photographs, and architectural drawings for two dwellings are also included.

The collection contains correspondence pertaining to Roger Perrine Delano's service in the United States Navy during World War II, family photographs, and materials about his career and retirement from the Dade County Court system. Also included is a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, correspondence, and ephemera compiled by his grandmother, Sarah Rodgers Walker Palmer.
