Warner family, who were Miami's first florists, establishing the Miami Floral Company in 1906. Includes records for Warner House, their home and place of business; promotional material for the Magnetic Comb Company; a first-day cover commemorating the start of air mail service to Tallahassee; diaries of George H. Griffin ("Uncle George"), and an autobiographical narrative by Lena Clarke, Mrs. Warner's sister.

Correspondence, clippings, and typescripts of articles and books by Griswold. Much of the material pertains to his unpublished work on Dr. Henry Perrine. Articles date primarily from the 1940s, when Griswold was freelancing in Key West.

Correspondence, newspaper clippings, genealogical material, and photocopies of 19th century letters pertain to Indian Key history, especially the estate of Jacob Housman, who owned much of the island until Indians destroyed the settlement in 1840.

A diary of a 1960 visit to Jamaica (probably by Mrs. Griswold) and typescripts on Islandia (by C.P. Idyll) and the Museum of Science.

Source material, correspondence, typescripts, and photographic prints pertain to Griswold as a writer and conservationist. Includes a letter from William C. Sturtevant about the political action leading to the establishment of Everglades National Park; correspondence relating to the Historical Association's preservation of the Housman grave marker from Indian Key; material about the 1905 murder of game warden Guy Bradley, a victim of the egret plume trade; a radio script: Going places with Griswold; and detailed outlines for a proposed South Florida handbook, to be written by Griswold and Charles Brookfield.

Newspaper clippings, photographic prints, correspondence, postcards, greeting cards, legal documents and personal memorabilia pertain to Miami Area history and the history of the Huddleston family. The collection is particularly rich in vivid handwritten descriptions and newspaper obituaries of Miami pioneers who died in the 1950s. Also included are newspaper accounts of historic buildings and personalities, as well as the social activities of members of pioneer families, and of the meetings of the Miami Pioneers group.

Scrapbook marked "Finished 1955" in Box 6 has much of the Huddleston family material, including Farmer City, Illinois, newspaper clippings.

The Alfred Weiss Theatre Collection consists primarily of photographic prints. Other materials include performance logs, press advertisements, pamphlets, ephemera and papers pertaining to the Olympia Theatre. Some also relate to other theatres and the Florida State Theatre, Inc. Information on the Weiss family, manuals for theatre management and trade magazines are also included.

The collection consists of 65 drawings of piers, arches, reinforced concrete rods, and other details such as arch openings and pier abutments. The Long Key - Conch Key Viaduct drawings date from 1905 and 1906, the years of its construction. Also included are drawings of other sections of the Key West Extension.

The Atkinson papers contain papers, photographs and newspaper clippings of Judge Edith Atkinson's career and civic activities during the 1920s-1930s. The materials covering the decades after the 1930s are either personal or from the Girls Scouts, updating her on progress within the council. Included in the collection are papers of her husband, Judge Henry F. Atkinson.

Research papers on settlements and people in South Dade (Miami-Dade County, Fla.), from Larkins (South Miami) and Kendall south to Homestead and Florida City, during the 1800s to 1926.

The papers hold topical folders of clippings, manuscripts, typescripts, photocopies, correspondence and notes used by Jean Taylor in researching her book, The Villages of South Dade. Also includes oral history interview sound cassettes and notebooks, the typescripts for Villages of South Dade and for Culture in the Boondocks, and material for the classes that she taught on South Dade history. Also included is a student paper Jean Taylor wrote on the early history of Miami, with annotations by her teacher, Marjory Stoneman Douglas; five 1906-1907 issues of Gustav Stickley's magazine, The Craftsman, given to Jean Taylor by Patty Munroe Catlow; and a photocopy of the National Register nomination for Silver Palm schoolhouse.

Bulk of the collection consists of scrapbooks with dated newspaper clippings, club announcements and invitations. The older of two minute books is in Kirk Munroe's handwriting, with dates from 1909 April 3 to 1911 February 14. The other minute book covers 1921-1926; the first four months again in Munroe's handwriting; later entries are typed. Scrapbook clippings are about activities and obituaries of club members as well as club events and yacht races. Years covered by scrapbooks: 1937-1959, 1961 and 1964. Club handbooks included are from 1910, 1926 and 1948
