Bulk of the collection consists of scrapbooks with dated newspaper clippings, club announcements and invitations. The older of two minute books is in Kirk Munroe's handwriting, with dates from 1909 April 3 to 1911 February 14. The other minute book covers 1921-1926; the first four months again in Munroe's handwriting; later entries are typed. Scrapbook clippings are about activities and obituaries of club members as well as club events and yacht races. Years covered by scrapbooks: 1937-1959, 1961 and 1964. Club handbooks included are from 1910, 1926 and 1948

This collection documents the photography shot by Bob Edelson in his retirement from 1985 and onward of South Beach, Fla. The photographs, negatives and slides pay special attention to the South Miami Beach Art Deco District, in particular, the exteriors of buildings, hotels, businesses, and street scenes. While the collection also includes typical beach images of the sea, sand and sunbathers, these are not the focus.

Also included are a number of clippings and publications that show a sampling of Bob Edelson's Art Deco photography in print.

This collection captures the lives of Jewish retirees in Miami Beach in the 1980s through color and black & white photographs. It includes leisure activities such as dancing, singing, exercising, and sunbathing. Burt depicts Jewish culture throughout the city including synagogues, restaurants, shops and the Passover holiday. Her collection includes various apartments, condominiums and hotels, many of which were built in the iconic art deco and streamline modern styles. Her work seeks to portray demographic change, such as the shift in everyday language from Yiddish to Spanish which can be seen in the storefronts and street signage. She also captures the slow decaying of buildings in a time when historic preservation efforts had yet to go into effect.

Financial and legal records, ledgers and business correspondence. A small amount of personal correspondence primarily from the 1920s. Two letters by William Jennings Bryan, material about mayor of Miami E. G. Sewell, and Alligator Key lighthouse visitor's book.

Brickell and Bulmer Apartments: receipts from Miami firms for the construction, insurance, furnishings and services for the Bulmer and Brickell Apartments mostly date between 1918-1919. Also included are statements from Miss Harris' School for school fees for the Brickell children.

Briggs estate at 1581 Brickell Avenue designed by architect George Avery, views of the family’s original house at 60 Cascade Avenue and portraits. Also includes a few pages of personal and business accounting records and a copy of "The American Architect", no. 2268, 1919, featuring an illustrated article on the house.

The Burdines records document the company’s unique place in Florida’s retail history.  Organized by subject headings are: newsletters, company documents, manuals and guides, photographs, scrapbooks and catalogs of Burdines’s sponsored community events, newspaper clippings, brochures illustrating advertising campaigns, and papers pertaining to rehabilitative measures taken by community leaders following the 1980 riot in Miami.

The bulk of the holdings date from the 1960s through the 1970s. With the exception of a volume on financing and construction in 1938, there is little pertaining to the company prior to the acquisition by Federated Department Stores. Also included are some scrapbooks and other references to the Jordan Marsh stores, which became part of Federated in 1991.

Over the years, several variations on the name Burdines have been used by the store.  Except for folder headings using a variation of the name in the container list, the name Burdines is used through this document.

Letter from Henry Flagler enclosing an article: "Cultivation of Bananas" [not in repository] for Richardson, whose place had "quite a patch of bananas."

Advertising section of The Miami Metropolis, January 24, 1908 lists several Miami businesses and attractions.

First place certificate award presented to Otis Richardson by Dade County Agricultural and Horticultural Society,1902. Also includes a view of his display.

Box 1 contain sales and rental records for the Carl G. Fisher properties and the Miami Beach Bay Shore Company. Properties are identified by subdivision, block and lot numbers.

Boxes 2 and 3 contain records of various properties in Miami Beach (a few are for Surfside, Bal Harbour and Golden Isles) that Chase appraised betweem 1946 amd 1967. Some include maps, photographs and a description of the zoning conditions and demographics at the time. Notable is the appraisal of the Briggs estate for the estate of Jane C. Briggs in 1955, when the zoning for "Millionaires Row" was about to change to hotels and apartments.

Plat maps, personal and business correspondence and ephemera are in box 3.

Handwritten notes added in 2014 by Carolyn Klepser detail the owners and architects of some of the properties.
