Diary is a lively and detailed account of a young girl's family and social life in early Miami. Scrapbooks are unarranged: one holds pictures clipped from magazines and some photographic prints; the other has loose material including poetry by Fannie Clemons and typed transcripts of letters with genealogical information on the Buswell and related families.

Includes correspondence, personal and employment records, real estate records pertaining to family properties and school memorabilia. Of note is a copy of the booket "The story of Miami Shipbuilding Corporation". Albums, individual photographs and postcards document the families homes in Hialeah and Miami, and vacations and scenes around Florida, Cuba and the Caribbean, social and school events and Vizcaya during the construction phase. One album chronicles the building and launching of the boat "Miss Jean" at the Miami Shipbuilding Corporation boatyard.

Magazines, letters, photocopies, postcards, photographs (prints), a book and other memorabilia document the activities of two pioneer families who played a major role in the Jewish communities of Key West and Miami. Includes an unsigned typescript letter from Theodore Roosevelt, several photographs of turn of the century stores in Key West and Miami, material on the congregations of Rodeph Sholom in Key West and Beth David in Miami (first called B'Nai Zion), and photographs of Cuban leaders of the late 1800s, including Jose Marti.
