Scope and content
Bulk of the collection concerns the Apthorp family, especially William Lee Apthorp. Much genealogical information; documents, including two short diaries, deeds, letters, primarily with 19th century dates; an 1877 map of Florida, and items related to William Lee Apthorp's Civil War service (source of some of the diaries). Also included are 24 items relating to the Osgood family, and smaller amounts for the Weeks and Morse families. Other items: William H. Gleason's 1868 Proclamation (against Governor Harrison Reed); and a 1975 publication: The People of lawmaking in Florida, 1845/1975.
