History
John Dixon, Master of the Schooner Industry of Montreal, describes how he sailed from Jamaica, with a cargo of rum, sugar, molasses & pimento, bound for Quebec. On September 12, he ran ashore during a storm near latitude 23 degrees, 51 minutes. Wreckers saved part of the cargo, and took it and the crew to Key West, where they arrived September 21.
