Date:
1954 April
Description:
Aerial view of truck, carrying girder, turning at an intersection.
Original caption: It took a 32-wheel trailer to haul what is believed to be the largest girder ever built in Miami to the Fontainebleau Hotel from Sheffield Steel Products early today. The huge structure weighs 40 tons, is 90 feet long and six feet high. It is one of 19 being built by the steel firm, and will support the roof over the convention hall of the 650-room hotel, which is scheduled for completion late this year.
